Privacy Policy for Number Ninjas Math Game

This Privacy Policy describes how Number Ninjas Math Game ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"), developed by David Medawar, collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in a few different ways to provide and improve your gameplay experience.

A. Information You Provide to Us

• Leaderboard Information: To use the optional leaderboard feature, you may choose to connect your Facebook account. If you do, we collect your public Facebook profile's first and last name. This is the only information we receive from Facebook. We do not collect your profile picture, email address, friends list, or any other personal data.

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Game Progress Data: We store data related to your progress, such as your best time per level and the belt you have achieved. This is stored on secure third-party servers (Firebase) to power leaderboards and save your progress.

• Daily Puzzle Streak Data: If you participate in the daily puzzle feature, we store your streak information (current streak, maximum streak, and last played date) on Firebase to track progress and personalize your experience.

• Usage and Analytics Data: We use tools like Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous data about how you interact with the App (e.g., screens visited, level completion rates). We strip personal identifiers from this data to focus solely on improving game retention.

• Advertising Identifiers: Our partner, Google AdMob, may collect device identifiers (like Apple's IDFA) to serve advertisements. You can limit this via your device's privacy settings.

C. Information Stored Locally

• Some general game data, such as your last played level, is stored locally on your device to allow you to quickly resume gameplay.

D. Push Notifications

• Notification Permissions: Requesting permission to send push notifications is entirely optional.

• Notification Data: If enabled, we use a locally-generated unique device identifier to track your daily puzzle streak. This is stored on your device and in our secure Firebase database but is not linked to personally identifiable information.

• Notification Content: Reminders are sent at a scheduled time (currently 8:00 AM local time). Content is generated locally and does not transmit personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Service Management: To enable gameplay continuity and save high scores.

• Public Leaderboards: To display your first name, last name, and best times to other players.

• Daily Puzzle Features: To track streaks and personalize notification messages.

• Engagement: To send opted-in push notifications reminding you of the daily puzzle.

• Advertising: To serve ads that support the App's development (configured for general audiences).

• Optimization: To analyze retention and usage patterns to improve game balance.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with the following third parties:

• Other Players: Your name and scores are visible on in-game leaderboards.

4. Your Choices and Rights

• Leaderboards: Connecting Facebook is optional. You can disconnect at any time in the App's settings.

• Push Notifications: You have full control via the App's settings menu or your device's system settings. Disabling them does not affect core gameplay.

• Advertising: Opt-out of personalized ads via the "Limit Ad Tracking" or "Allow Apps to Request to Track" settings on iOS.

• Access & Deletion: You may request to have your personal data (name, scores, streak data) deleted by contacting us at the email below.

5. Children's Privacy

Number Ninjas Math Game is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Due to the Facebook login requirement for leaderboards, users must be at least 13 to access those features. If we discover we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete it.

6. Changes & Contact

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy here and updating the Effective Date.
