Privacy Policy for Number Ninjas: Brain Puzzle

Effective Date: May 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Number Ninjas: Brain Puzzle ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"), developed by David Medawar, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We designed this App to prioritize privacy and minimize data collection. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or photos.

A. Information You Provide

We do not collect personal information from you. You do not create an account, log in via social media, or provide your real name to play the game or use the leaderboards.

B. Information Generated Automatically

Anonymous Player ID: To enable leaderboards and save your progress, we generate a random, anonymous identifier (for example, a Firebase UID) for your device. This identifier is not linked to your real identity.

Game Progress Data: We store data related to your gameplay, such as your high scores, best times, belt achievements, and puzzle streaks. This data is associated with your Anonymous Player ID and stored on secure third-party servers (Firebase) so you can compare scores globally without revealing who you are.

Usage and Analytics: We use tools such as Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregate data about how the App is used (for example, level completion rates or crash reports). This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to improve the game experience.

C. Advertising Data (Non-Personalized)

We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. We have configured the App to serve Non-Personalized Ads (NPA) to all users.

No Tracking: We do not request permission to track you across other apps or websites (App Tracking Transparency).

Kid-Safe Settings: We use Google’s "Tag for Child Directed Treatment," which prevents the creation of advertising profiles and helps ensure ads are context-based rather than behavior-based.

D. Push Notifications

Permission: Requesting permission to send push notifications is entirely optional.

Data: If enabled, we use a locally stored reference to your Anonymous Player ID to track your daily puzzle streak.

Content: Notifications (such as daily reminders) are generic and generated locally on your device. No personal information is transmitted to send these messages.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited, anonymous data we collect for the following purposes:

  • Game Functionality: To save your progress and preserve your belt achievements.

  • Anonymous Leaderboards: To display your score on global leaderboards. Your entry appears under an anonymous generated name (for example, "Ninja 8392") derived from your Anonymous Player ID, not your real identity.

  • Engagement: To send optional push notifications about your daily streak.

  • Support & Improvement: To fix bugs and optimize game difficulty based on aggregate completion rates.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share anonymous data only with trusted service providers required to operate the game:

4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

This App is safe for children. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR-K.

  • No PII Collection: We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information (PII) from children under 13.

  • No Social Login: We do not offer social media logins (Facebook, etc.).

  • Safe Leaderboards: Leaderboards use anonymous identifiers and do not allow free-text entry or direct communication between players.

  • Appropriate Ads: Advertising is set to non-personalized and filtered for general audiences (G-rated).

If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us and we will delete that information promptly.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Push Notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time in your device’s Settings.

Data Deletion: Because we do not collect your email or name, we cannot identify you by those means. To reset progress or remove local data, you can delete the App from your device. For server-side deletion of your Anonymous Player ID, contact us with your Player ID (if shown in app settings).

6. Changes & Contact

We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in our features or legal requirements. We will notify you by updating the Effective Date at the top of this policy.
